VIDEO GAME REVIEWSContact Mr. Shade and make fun of him
Hello, I'm Mr. Shade. You might remember me from movie reviews such as
Dragonfight, Paycheck,
and Spartan. Or not. Now I'm doing game reviews. I plan to do for
games what Johnny does for movies - infuriate you so much that you send in e-mails that we post and then make
fun of. In addition, you'll also get reviews from the point of view of an avid gamer with mediocre gaming
skills.Since games take much longer than movies I will post news on upcoming games and my first thoughts on the current games I'm playing in between reviews. I'm also going to pay homage to (AKA rip off) the MovieMark and have a "What's Wrong With Games" section. I will only be releasing reviews after I have finished the entire game (unless the game is so horrible that I refuse to finish it), so don't expect the Half-Life 2 review the day after its release. For those of you looking to play more games without spending more money here's a plug: Trigger Fingers. They're basically Netflix for video games, and they have an excellent stock. For those of you not familiar with Netflix they send you movies through the mail. After you are done with them you send them back (they also send a pre-paid postage envelope), and they send you the next movie in your "queue." The service starts at $20/month for 3 movies at once and goes up to $50/month for 8 movies at once. While Netflix is only useful for those who rent a lot of movies or don't have a good video store close by, Trigger Fingers can be used to save quite a bit of money. At $16/month for two games out at a time you should be able to play at least 12 games a year for the cost of only 4 games. I've been using them for two months now with no complaints. Now the choice is up to you: find out "What's Wrong With Games" or start reading my game reviews.
