MOVIE HORROR STORIES

A Kick in the Chair
by Kathryn G.

I would have to say the worst movie experience I have had is when my husband and I went to see Boogie Nights. We usually pick the seats that people don't usually pick so we won't have to be bothered. Well, a big guy and a friend sat right behind me. During the entire movie I would get kicked in the back of my chair. I kept sighing loudly and turning around (I know, mature), to no avail. Finally I turned around and said "You need to quit kicking my chair." He did stop for the most part, only occasionally kicking it. I like to think it was due to his clumsiness, not his ignorance.

Ever since, we have avoided popular movie times and days - just too much stress!

Johnny: I would think seeing Boogie Nights would've been a bad enough experience, so I can imagine how being kicked repeatedly would only send you over the edge. I personally believe that a kick in the chair is an even trade-off with a kick in the rear. Somebody does one then they deserve the other. Somebody kicking the back of my chair is what I'd call a light assault. How's it much different then constantly pushing somebody in the back and forcing them to jerk forward? You know I'm right.

Moral of the Story: Find something to kick yourself about; leave my movie seat alone.

Send your stories to me and let the whole world know just how dangerous going to the movies can be.
