MOVIE HORROR STORIES

Crazy Brits
by Lisa

This story sums up us Brits! Back in the early nineties, a few mates and I decided to skive off Uni in Sheffield and go see a matinee of The Doors. There were only half a dozen others in the audience besides us, including a dirty, scruffy, drunk-looking couple sitting right at the front. A few comments were made from my friends about the state they were in, and we presumed they were tramps. About 5 minutes into the movie we were distracted from the screen by obvious sexual activity coming from the scruffy couple at the front. We stared open-mouthed as the couple stripped COMPLETELY and got down to business.

No one, staff or customer, approached them at any point to tell them maybe it wasn't such a good idea to have sex in a public place. We all just stared in wide-eyed disbelief and bemusement. The act took about 20 minutes and the couple calmly re-dressed themselves. After sitting back down they both whipped out a cigarette, sat back, and puffed away. Within 20 seconds a member of staff marched straight to the front of the theatre and demanded the couple extinguish their cigarettes or leave!!!!

Johnny: In honor of John Cleese, you should've pulled a Basil Fawlty and gone up to the couple and said, "You disgust me. I know what people like you get up to and it's disgusting."

Moral of the Story: Continuing with the Fawlty Towers theme, let me just paraphrase Basil and say it's a movie theater, not a massage parlor. Please, for the sake of all that's innocent, keep your clothes on. A bath and deodorant wouldn't hurt either.

Send your stories to me and let the whole world know just how dangerous going to the movies can be.
