MOVIE HORROR STORIES

Mentally Challenged Part 6
by Kenny

Just a really embarrassing one. I was at the Malco/Cordova for a matinee showing of Spiderman 3. Naturally, there were about 7000 kids in attendance. This big ogre-looking dude sitting behind me kept kicking the back of my chair, OVER and OVER again. After about 5 minutes of this, I turned around and asked him just what the heck his problem was. Of course, when I said it, the entire crowd had chosen that particular moment to be quiet, so it sounded louder than it really was. The ogre-looking dude turned out to be mentally retarded and started crying.

Sure enough, about 20 people raced over to comfort him, consoling him with the fact that the world is full of cruel, insensitive jerks. I exited the theatre, got some popcorn, and sneaked back in after the movie started.

Johnny: Your mistake was attempting to engage him in dialogue. I usually just stand up, flex a couple of times in my one-size-too-small t-shirt, and then point to the biker boots. That's something people of ALL mental (in)capabilities can understand.

Moral of the Story: When confronting somebody who is an annoyance at the theater ask them first if they are mentally retarded. If they are then proceed accordingly. If they say no then reply with something snappy like, "Could've fooled me," then lay that smack down.

Send your stories to me and let the whole world know just how dangerous going to the movies can be.
