MOVIE HORROR STORIESby Clint F. This happened several years back. I think we went to see Attack of the Clones (which is a horror story all on its own) and my sister and I were celebrating my mom's birthday by taking her to Memphis to a nice dinner and a movie at a nice theater, or so we thought. I hadn't been to the Majestic in awhile and did not know that it had changed from a nice theater to gang central. During the movie I looked around and saw that we were the only white folk in there. My sister who is usually very calm, for some reason took it upon herself to start talking really loudly during the movie and saying things about different people. I got in a fight with the people in front of us because they are talking on their cell phone and being just generally disruptive, while my mom is getting in a fight with a bunch of kids behind us that kept kicking our chairs. Needless to say, I was happy when we made it out of there alive and I never did go to the Majestic again. Johnny: It's too bad that my review of the Majestic theater didn't exist back then else you would've been properly warned. Moral of the Story: If you're in the Memphis area then avoid seeing movies at the Majestic. Send your stories to me and let the whole world know just how dangerous going to the movies can be. |
