MOVIE HORROR STORIESby Ms. Cali When Lord of the Rings: Return of the King opened we made plans to see the movie with a group of friends. We all were big geeks and ordered our tickets online about a week ahead of time, got to the theater early so we could get a decent place in line, and found out that we weren't all in the same theater! It seems the theater was selling two sets of tickets for the same showtime, without actually telling anyone. This meant that we couldn't all go pick up our tickets together to ensure we'd all have the same theater assignment. And the theater wouldn't let us trade in our tickets for the other theater. My boyfriend and I ended up in one theater, and the rest of our friends in the other. Only, not. You see, their theater was oversold, and they ended up in our theater anyway - but by that time, the previews had already started and they couldn't find us! Johnny: You should've used the "Johnny Betts Forearm Shiver" method to get the seats you wanted. Works every time. Moral of the Story: The moral here: When The Lord of the Rings Trilogy Two: Electric Boogaloo is released, avoid opening night (or buy tickets at a theater where they have assigned seating). Send your stories to me and let the whole world know just how dangerous going to the movies can be. |
