MOVIE HORROR STORIESby Anonymous Lord of the Rings Fan When I went to see The Lord of The Rings: The Two Towers, my friends and I met up with some other people who weren't really my friends, but we all sat together, about 15 of us along one row, and it was torturous! Even though I had already (being a ringer and all) seen the movie a couple times, I'm sure many people in the theatre hadn't, since it had only been out less than a couple weeks. I pity them that they had the poor fortune of watching it then. So, the first of many horrors was the opening scene. A friend next to me says, "When it's your turn, shout I AM FRODO BAGGINS," so up the row they went, screaming "I AM LEGOLAS," "I AM PIPPIN," "I AM GANDALF," ... well, you get the picture. I thought it was so rude, and other people were yelling back things like "SHUT UP!" and "SO YOU LOVE YOURSELF?" (?) through the whole 3 hours or whatever it is. They were shouting, talking, making jokes, throwing popcorn at people. I could hear everyone behind and to the side and in front of me every now and then making some comment about how they wouldn't be quiet. It was a packed theatre, and I WANTED TO WATCH THE MOVIE (as well as turn invisible). Needless to say, I've never entered a cinema with those few friends of my friends again. Johnny: Haha, man. That's just sad. The best part of the story is the "So you love yourself?" quote. I have no idea what that's supposed to mean, but that's what makes it so funny. Were they wearing costumes also? I'm sure at least one of them had a fake Gandalf beard. Moral of the Story: Be very wary of watching movies with rabid fanboys. A background check on their moviegoing history might not be a bad idea. Send your stories to me and let the whole world know just how dangerous going to the movies can be. |
