MOVIE HORROR STORIES

They're Called Spoilers For a Reason
by Tina K.

SPOILER ALERT - If you haven't seen Ghost or The Sixth Sense and don't want the movies spoiled for you, then don't read the following horror story.

As a teenager, I went to see the newly released movie Ghost. About three minutes into the movie, the idiot behind me "stage whispered" to her friend, "That guy there, his best friend, that's the one who kills him." For the rest of the movie, I couldn't think of anything else.

Johnny: Thankfully, it has been quite a while (now that I get to see advanced screenings) since I've had to worry about movies being spoiled. But people at work used to stand out in the hall discussing major plot twists in movies I hadn't seen yet, so I'd have to cover my ears and run for cover until it was safe to return to my cubicle.

It seems to happen everywhere. The Sixth Sense was ruined for my dad when a co-worker told him, "Bruce Willis is actually dead. He's a ghost the entire movie, but you don't find out until the end." He announced this after my dad had mentioned that he was gonna go see it that weekend after I told my mom it'd be one she'd really like. WHAT'S WRONG WITH PEOPLE?!?!

Moral of the Story: It's really simple. Unless you're asked, then KEEP THE SPOILERS TO YOURSELF! And if you are asked, then don't reveal them within earshot of someone who might actually like to be surprised.

Send your stories to me and let the whole world know just how dangerous going to the movies can be.
